The Group, Meeting & Events Department is responsible for all group, meeting and events bookings in our hotels within The Netherlands. As you can imagine, our role has a big impact on the bookings in the hotels and of course on the revenue. We are always in contact with a lot of different departments and translating the wishes of our clients/guests to the operational departments.

This is what you're going to do

In this role you are going to use all your sales skills to organize the group, meetings and events for all our properties: Sir Hotels, Max Brown Hotels & Park Centraal Hotels in the Netherlands. Our Booking Office is part of our HQ in Amsterdam Centre. All your colleagues work side by side on the same floor. The Booking Office is one of the most vibrant departments of Sircle Collection. 

Together with:

• Create tailor made offers and quote prices.

• Negotiate contracts.

• Cooperate with the other commercial and operational departments.

• Conduct site inspections.

• Provide a clear handover to the onside operational teams.

• Undertake financial related tasks, like preparing proformas, invoices, commission handling etc.

• Prepare reports with regards to conversion and revenues.

• Conduct after sales calls and evaluations.

• Build long-term relationships.

• Attend Sales events.

You are a person who can engage with guests within our hotels and who wants to make every event the best is possibly can be in an effort to unburden the guest. Besides that, it’s important that you have an eye for detail and that you can provide creative solutions and upselling opportunities. You’re certainly not afraid to work under pressure! People describe you as a detail oriented, organizational pro. And last but not least, you like to work hard, but also play hard, adding your positive energy to the team dynamic.

In combination with:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

• Experience in a Booking Office.

• High level of English is a must (speaking and writing).

• Dutch is a big plus (or any additional languages).

• Knowledge of Shiji PMS is a big bonus.

• You are commercially-minded and have a passion for hospitality.

• Excellent social and communication skills.

• Team player, but certainly also capable of working independently.
