Sircle Collection is embarking on an ambitious plan to reduce our environmental and social impact. In this role you will get to learn about sustainability within the hospitality industry and work on several ongoing projects to change how we build and operate our hotels. To do so, you will work directly for our Head of Sustainability (Gavin Fraser) within the Construction & Design team, collaborating across all departments of Sircle Collection.

This is what you're going to do
Together with the Construction & Design team, you will be responsible for aiding in the creation and implementation of sustainability design guidelines. (think about waste reduction, procurement, and pollution)
You will assist in conducting on-site ESG audits within our hotels.
You will assist in coordinating internally and externally to gather data/ information for various purposes. Being able to understand data and do intermediate calculations will be required.
You will assist us in pursuing Sustainability certification on both our operations and assets
You will analyze key data metrics from our properties (our consumption), our corporation, and our social impact projects.
You will be a key communicator within the company regarding ESG and sustainability events, issues, and updates.
You will work closely with our operations team to implement key sustainability projects on the ground.
You will work closely with the Head of Sustainability to develop, maintain, and enforce our sustainability strategy.
This is why your internship is challenging
You get to work in the challenging and dynamic fields of sustainability and hospitality. How can we make our hotels more sustainable without impacting our hospitality? Or, does our form of hospitality have to evolve? How do we keep up in a regulatory landscape that changes overnight? These key challenging questions are the backbone of what it means to work in sustainable hospitality, and you will get to experience these challenges firsthand.
This is why you are the best candidate
There are no specific requirements for this role, and all applicants will be considered. That being said, we believe you should be pursuing a degree in a field related to sustainability. For example, Sustainable development, Environmental studies, Sustainable real estate, or any other course relating to Hospitality or the built environment/ construction wherein sustainability forms a large portion of your curriculum or the basis of your thesis. A background in real-estate is a plus, and you should have familiarity with asset certifications (BREEAM, LEED), an awareness of reporting frameworks that are applicable to Sircle Collection (CSRD, CSDDD, SECR). You will also need to be able to manage multiple projects at once, be able to communicate complex ideas and concepts clearly to various stakeholders, and most importantly, have a passion for assets, hospitality and sustainability. You're available from September 2025 for at least 5 months and currently live in or around Amsterdam.
This role is only available for candidates that are currently studying and need to complete an internship as part of his/her curriculum.

Compensations
The internship compensation is € 750 gross based on a fulltime internship.
