We are looking for a person who wants to be part of the ‘Groups Meetings & Events’ team at the Sir Victor Hotel in Barcelona, a magnificent five-star hotel located near Paseo de Gracia.
We want a person who is active, creative, with initiative and passionate about what they believe in and do; and above all, we are looking for a ‘teamworker’.
JOB OBJECTIVE: To optimize group, meeting and event revenue by successfully converting all inquiries into materialized bookings and taking responsibility for achieving the highest possible occupancy.
MOST IMPORTANT RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
Booking individual and/or group rooms, whether or not in combination with meeting room reservations, and processing reservations made by the sales department. Including:
Processing requests using the reservation system and known guidelines in relation to optimizing room and meeting room performance.
Checking that requirements can be met in terms of numbers, dates, etc.
Inform clients/guests of possibilities/impossibilities
Draw up quotations taking into account (contractual) price agreements and draw up confirmation of final requests, both within 24 hours
Recording of bookings made in the reservation system, if necessary, recording of options issued
Building strong relationships with our customers
Manage pending options and changes to reservations. Including:
Contacting guests/clients in a timely manner to follow up and finalize options or quotes.
Close cooperation with various internal departments regarding sales opportunities, special wishes of guests and direct cooperation with reservations regarding room bookings
Handle any changes to reservations (cancellations, transfers, etc.) within the available options
Call after sales to find out how the event went and ask for return business. Check and prepare the invoice after the event has taken place.
Determine and pass on cancellation costs to management for invoicing.
Prepare clear sheets with complete event information for other departments
Providing venue inspections
Prepare clear sheets with complete event information for the other departments.
Provide venue inspections.
Build an effective working relationship and communication with Front Office, F&B, Sales and Revenue Managers teams.
Carry out other related activities.
CONTRACT CONDITIONS
Workday: 40 hours / week
Salary: 1.900-2.000€.
Permanent contract

Knowledge of a property management system is a must
You are super commercial and have a passion for hospitality
Excellent social and communication skills
You work in a team, but are certainly also able to work independently
Curiosity is a must.
