Sir Hotels is headed to Prague!

The newest addition to the Sir Hotels family and Sircle Collection's inaugural property in the historic city center, opening soon, will be situated near the picturesque Vltava River. Our boutique hotel will showcase 76 meticulously designed rooms, a delightful library, a boutique Spa, state-of-the-art fitness amenities, and the acclaimed Seven North restaurant.


As People & Culture Manager, you’ll join our team to nurture and grow this unique property. In this role, you’ll be responsible for fulfilling our employee brand promise and embodying our brand values by providing heartfelt service, leading with creativity and ambition, and creating surprising experiences for our team members and guests every step of the way.


Your responsibilities include:

  • Pre-opening & Set-Up of P&C Department: Establish guidelines, policies, and processes in line with company guidelines, policies, and local labor agreements and laws.
  • Serve as a Trusted Advisor: Provide expert guidance and support to managers and team members on People & Culture policies, procedures, and best practices. Be the go-to person for all People & Culture-related matters, helping navigate challenges with clarity and confidence.
  • Be a Role Model for a Positive Work Environment: Demonstrate exemplary behavior and foster a workplace that mirrors our values of heartfelt service, creativity, and surprise. Set a standard for others by creating an atmosphere that is both inspiring and supportive.
  • Offer Expertise and Support on Compliance Matters: Advise hotel leads and line managers on labor laws, permits, health and safety regulations, and other team member-related issues to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
  • Lead with Care and Precision: Manage payroll processes with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring every team member's needs are met with empathy and professionalism, reflecting our commitment to heartfelt service
  • Address Team Member Concerns with Empathy: Manage team member relations, including conflict resolution, investigations, and disciplinary actions, with empathy and professionalism to ensure fair and timely outcomes, reflecting our value of heartfelt service.
  • Support Performance Management and Development: Assist managers in the performance appraisal process by providing tools and guidance for meaningful evaluations. Develop performance improvement plans that foster both personal and professional growth, aligning with our value of ambition.
  • Lead Learning and Development Initiatives: Create and facilitate innovative training programs, mentorship opportunities, and career development paths that encourage continuous learning and align with our organizational goals, highlighting our commitment to creativity and ambition.
  • Recruit and Onboard Top Talent: Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to attract, recruit, and onboard high-quality candidates, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for every new team member.
  • Implement Strategic People & Culture Projects: Drive and execute key People & Culture projects from Headquarters, ensuring they reflect our core values and meet our organizational objectives.
  • Enhance Team Member Engagement: Lead initiatives that promote a dynamic workplace culture, aligned with our Sircle Values, to elevate team member satisfaction and engagement.
  • Utilize Data for Continuous Improvement: Conduct surveys, prepare HR reports, and analyze data to identify trends and provide actionable insights for informed decision-making.
  • Ensure Compliance with Labor Laws and Regulations: Stay informed about labor laws and regulations to ensure the organization remains compliant and well-prepared for any changes.
  • Excel in Budgeting and Forecasting: Manage budgeting and forecasting for People & Culture initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic and financial goals.
  • Boost Team Well-Being and Real Connection: Organize engaging meetings, creative workshops, and fun events that spark real connections and keep the energy high. Create an environment where team members feel motivated, inspired, and always supported.
  • Celebrate Every Moment That Matters: Plan and execute memorable celebrations for important occasions, such as birthdays, work anniversaries, and other milestones, ensuring every team member feels recognized and appreciated for their contributions.

Job requirements

About you

  • You have a passion for hospitality and for creating an excellent guest and employee experience.
  • You enjoy working in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment. You take accountability for achieving results, for delivering an excellent guest experience, for attracting and retaining outstanding talent, and for achieving your targets on time, and within budget.
  • You are an experienced People & Culture Manager, with a modern approach, and with strong knowledge of local labor laws and HR practices. The ideal candidate is hands on, can quickly establish credibility and respect, and easily creates strong working relationships. Your approach is positive, enthusiastic and creative. 

You have

  • A Bachelor degree in human resources/hospitality management;
  • 3- 5 years’ experience in a comparable role, preferably in a (boutique) hotel;
  • (Pre)opening experience is a plus;
  • You are fluent in English and Czech 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and written;
  • Excellent knowledge of local labor and payroll laws, as well as regulations in the hospitality sector;
  • A self-starter with ability to set priorities and multi-task, with a hands-on proactive approach.
