At Park Centraal Amsterdam we believe in creating places that feel like home — for both our guests and our team. Right now, we’re looking for a hands-on and people-minded fulltime Maintenance Manager to join our Management Team and lead the daily operations of our Technical Department. 

About the role 

As our Maintenance Manager, you are responsible for the smooth technical operation of the hotel. You oversee all maintenance activities — from daily repairs to periodic inspections — and play a key role in ensuring our property is always in top shape. You’ll manage and coach a small team of skilled technicians (2–3), lead by example with your own hands-on work, and serve as the first point of contact for all technical suppliers and partners. 

This is what you're going to do as Maintenance Manager

• Lead and support your team in daily maintenance and technical operations. 

• Be actively involved in repairs and troubleshooting — you lead from the floor. 

• Act as first point of contact for maintenance suppliers and service providers. 

• Ensure compliance with all health & safety standards, including fire life safety (FLS). 

• Take part in the rotating Amsterdam-wide on-call service (approx. once every 6 weeks). 

• Monitor technical budgets and forecasts, and contribute to cost-effective operations. 

• Support the Cluster Maintenance Manager with larger asset projects and communication with ownership. 

• Work closely with the General Manager and Cluster Maintenance Manager Amsterdam.

We are looking for someone who is ready to take the next step. You might be a Technical Supervisor or Senior Technician today, and you're eager to grow into a leadership role — not from behind a desk, but with your sleeves rolled up. 

You bring: 

• Experience in technical operations within hotels, large hospitality venues, healthcare facilities, or multifunctional buildings. 

• Strong hands-on maintenance skills and a proactive mindset. 

• A people-first leadership style: you enjoy coaching and supporting your team. 

• A solid understanding of technical systems, safety standards, and supplier coordination. 

• Good English communication skills, both spoken and written.
