DESCRIPTION

The housekeeper at SiR Hotels organizes, cleans, maintains and looks after the rooms and common areas of the hotel as our excellent host who assists our guests. The Housekeeper's responsibilities include performing cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and polishing; ensure all rooms are maintained and inspected to standards; protecting the equipment and ensuring there are no deficiencies. To be successful in this role, you must be able to manage various tasks on a day-to-day basis to ensure excellent cleanliness of rooms and common areas, and that operations occur smoothly. Please note that the position requires working in afternoon shifts, in holidays, weekends, or nights.

Finally, she will ensure that our building is safe, clean and welcoming.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform various cleaning activities such as sweeping, scrubbing, dusting and polishing.
• Ensure all rooms are maintained and inspected to hotel standards.
• Preserve equipment and ensure there are no deficiencies.
• Notify superiors of any damage, deficit and/or disturbance.
• Handling reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience.
• Check inventory levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate.
• Strictly comply with health and safety regulations and be aware of company-related practices.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience as a floor cleaner or waiter.
• Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
• Customer oriented and friendly.
• Prioritization and time management skills.
• Working quickly without compromising quality.
• Very valuable knowledge and communication in English.
• Vocational or secondary training diploma is a plus.
