As a Financial Controller, you will play a key role in supporting our Finance team during a maternity leave period (May – November). Together with the current controllers, you will help ensure continuity, quality, and progress within the department.
This role includes reporting and controls, budgeting, audits and team coordination. We are looking for someone who can step in, assess what is needed most, and collaborate closely with the team to divide responsibilities effectively.

This is what you're going to do
Take responsibility for (parts of) the financial administration and act as a sparring partner within the finance team
Finalize and/or review monthly profit and loss statements
Support budgeting, forecasting, and annual reporting processes
Prepare and explain deviations and KPIs to internal stakeholders
Coordinate and support external audits and VAT declarations
Help guide, support, and coordinate the finance team (approx. 12 people) with the other controllers.
Work closely with the other controllers to ensure a balanced division of responsibilities

You are a pragmatic and hands-on finance professional who thrives in a collaborative environment. You can take ownership where needed, but you also understand the importance of teamwork and flexibility. You communicate clearly, are comfortable working with stakeholders, and know how to prioritize in a fast-moving organization.
You don’t need to tick every box — we are particularly interested in where your strengths lie and how those can best support the team during this period.
Additionally, you bring:
A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent experience
3–5 years of relevant experience in a financial controlling or similar role
Experience with financial administrative systems
Availability on a fulltime basis
Strong command of English (Dutch is a plus)
Experience with Dutch GAAP is a strong advantage
