Job description

As our Commercial Group Director you'll lead revenue growth, sales enhancement, and business relationships across our diverse portfolio. This role demands a seasoned leader proficient in especially revenue management and strategic business development and next to that sales, within the hospitality sector. As the key driver of our commercial success, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our market presence, optimizing revenue streams, and fostering long-term partnerships. Your strategic acumen, combined with your ability to inspire and guide teams, will be essential in propelling our organization to new heights of success. Based at our Headquarters in Amsterdam's city center, you'll oversee and coordinate all commercial activities for our properties and will report to our VP Commercial.


This is what you're going to do

  • Develop and implement revenue-maximizing strategies.
  • Conduct market analysis and develop strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate for accurate forecasting and budgeting.
  • Manage distribution channels and explore new opportunities.
  • Work closely with the marketing department, including ecommerce and CRM teams.
  • Implement technology for efficient decision-making.
  • Cultivate partnerships and identify new business opportunities.
  • Lead acquisitions, developments, and pre-opening processes.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration and provide insights.
  • Lead and mentor a dynamic global team.

You possess great analytical skills which brings our commercial strategy to the next level. Furthermore, you are able to see the bigger picture and you do not shy away from challenges and change. Together with:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in revenue management and sales within the hospitality industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets.
  • Experience in leading and implementing change.
  • Strong technology skills.
  • Understanding the importance of operational excellence in all areas of the business.
  • Ability to inspire and lead high-performing teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of revenue management principles, distribution channels, and market dynamics.
  • Ability to analyze financial statements and market data.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a results-driven mindset.
  • Highly goal oriented and problem solver with the ability to be hands-on.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English (Dutch is a plus).
