DESCRIPTION

Maintenance Officer in SiR Hotels supports the guest experience that undertakes the responsibility to preserve the good condition and functionality of premises. You will perform maintenance tasks of great variety such as painting, HVAC installations, electricity etc. Maintenance officer is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The maintenance officer’s responsibilities include work in a dynamic and professional attitude to thrive the maintenance orders for the common areas and rooms. Our ideal candidates have a ability for communication, with the ability to resolve issues in a timely and accurate manner. Keep in mind that this position requires working in shifts on bank holidays, weekends, evenings, or nights.

Ultimately, you’ll ensure our building is safe, clean and inviting.


MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

  • Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.).
  • Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary.
  • Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
  • Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed.
  • Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.).
  • Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide.
  • Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.).
  • Keep the maintenance of the pool at the hotel.
  • Assist in budget preparation and ensure it is followed.
  • Ensure the good condition and maintenance of the Hotel facilities, through compliance with the procedures of the Maintenance Department.
  • Correctly perform the corrective and preventive maintenance parts according to the instructions of the Maintenance Manager.
  • Perform conductive maintenance tasks together with your manager, to ensure the proper functioning of all facilities.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on the facilities and machinery of the Hotel.
  • Carry out the preventive and corrective maintenance of the technical services of the Hotel: mechanics, plumbing, air conditioning and electrical installations.
  • Use, properly, the tools, machinery and materials made available, ensuring, at all times, the care and good condition of them.

Job requirements

REQUIREMENT

  • Proven experience as maintenance technician.
  • Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems.
  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
  • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices.
  • Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
  • Good physical condition and strength.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus.
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is desired.
  • Swimming pool maintenance course is a plus.
  • Legionella course is a plus.
  • Valuable extra maintenance courses
  • Valuable knowledge and communication in English (oral and written).
