In this internship you will be responsible to support the SMB Capital B.V. group who is based in the City Center of Amsterdam. The focus of this lifestyle hotels and hospitality holding group is income, generating quality properties with added-value potential in central locations of top-tier cities. This is what you’re going to do

As an intern you will support the Legal/Compliance- team with overseeing and organizing the Compliance process of the SMB holding group. You get the chance to improve your analytic skills through analysing and Know Your Customer (KYC), reviewing Non-Disclosure Agreement and be in charge to ensure that the group's entities are in compliance with all permits. You are proactive and always open for new ideas. You love to be working in fast paced environment. An example of a task where you will work on is assisting on permitting processes. And the most exciting thing of this internship is that you get the opportunity to grow into a junior Compliance professional and stay withing the Legal/Compliance team after the intern period.

As an Compliance intern you support the compliance/legal team in performing daily compliance tasks and take action on last minute events when needed. Your day will change day by day since you are working on projects for both existing properties ánd upcoming. The biggest challenge will be the creative flexibility you need when working with different projects in the Netherlands but also abroad.

This is why you are the best candidate

You are an enthusiastic candidate, who can work on different projects in a timely manner. You know how to prioritize cases and work under pressure. Ideally you are in your final stage of University or HBO (Risk Management, Economics, BA or Law). It is necessary to communicate (in English & Dutch) and connect and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.

• Openminded to new tasks, since no day is the same;

• You’re not afraid of hard work, including deadlines;

• Legal research skills and the ability to multitask;

• Good command of the English language, spoken and written;

• You are available as of September 2023 for a period of at least 6 months.

Compensation

The internship compensation is € 525 gross per month based on a full time internship.

We offer a compensation in your housing costs of € 80 gross (fulltime) in case you have to move to Amsterdam for your internship.
