As our new Housekeeping Manager, you will report directly to the hotel manager and be an active part of the management team. As department head, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining all rooms and public areas to a very high standard. With this you and your team will help to increase guest satisfaction. You are responsible for the total department with everything that comes with it to achieve success with your team.

• You are an experienced and hands-on professional and ensure proper professional work standards, productivity and practices;
• You are a natural leader, with good communication skills and know how to connect with different people and cultures;
• You are able to operate independently and solve problems creatively and demonstrate active entrepreneurship;
• You are able to set up clear procedures and capable of operating independently and solving problems creatively.

Responsibilities

• Manage, motivate/coach and train the team by coordinating housekeeping activities;
• Plan and execute departmental goals;
• Ensuring that housekeeping complies with all regulations, including sanitation and safety guidelines;
• Interview & selection and training & development of employees;
• Flexibility to respond to different work situations (including scheduling planning);
• Managing orders and being the primary contact for our housekeeping suppliers.

• Excellent communication skills in both English and Dutch;
• Minimum of two years relevant work experience in a leadership role as supervisor or manager;
• Have an operational mind-set but hands on mentality;
• Able to think along with you on optimizing the department and guest satisfaction enhancing actions;
• Flexibility in working mornings, evenings and weekends and no objection with holidays commitment;
