Why this vacancy is available

To rock Sircle Collection’s meeting & events and secure strong relationships, we are looking for your expertise to make this happen! In the role of Group, Meeting & Events Intern, you will contribute to the commercial activities of our department and you are a star in organizing and planning. You will work in our Headquarters in the city centre of Amsterdam together with your GM&E colleagues. In this role you will report directly to the Group, Meeting & Events Manager.

This is what you're going to do

• Offer prices;
• Make guests enthusiastic about our hotels;
• Responding to the wishes of the guest;
• Make the event possible;
• Taking work out of the guest's hands;
• Thinking along, showing initiative and coming up with solutions;
• Ensure a clear transfer to the internal operational teams;
• Financially related tasks such as, preparing invoices, pro forma invoices, handling of commissions, etc.;
• After sales calls.

You work in a dynamic team with people from different cultures and backgrounds. As a result, you always keep an overview, are able to set priorities and switch quickly. You know how to make connections and you take the initiative when things can be improved.

This is why you are the best candidate

To succeed in this role, we believe you should follow a Bachelor degree preferably in Hotel management. You have excellent command of English in word and writing. You are available as of September 2023 for a minimum period of five months. It goes without saying that you have an affinity with hospitality, you are a natural and creative professional with good computer skills and know how to connect with different people and cultures. You are not afraid to make mistakes and would like to work in a young, ambitious and dynamic team.

Compensations

• The internship compensation is € 525 gross based on a fulltime internship.
• We offer a compensation in your housing costs of € 80 gross (fulltime) in case you have to move to Amsterdam for your internship.

Meet Debbie Roodbol

Wow, you made it all the way to the bottom of the vacancy! My name is Debbie, Group, Meeting & Events Manager for Region NL at Sircle Collection. I started at Sircle Collection in February 2022, after gaining experience in multiple hotels: from a 5* existing property, to a newly opened hostel and restaurant. However, my focus was always on the commercial side of Group, Meeting & Events. I love to create a nicely organized process and structure in an overwhelming (I wouldn’t say chaotic) department. At our department we are responsible for all groups and meetings happening in our 6 hotels located in the Netherlands. Every day is different and this is definitely the position for you if you want to learn how to prioritize and keep your head cool while working on multiple events with a never ending to do list. We have a fun and young team, hoping to welcome you soon!
