Why this vacancy is available

The Group, Meeting & Events Department is responsible for all group-, meeting- and events bookings in our hotels in The Netherlands. As you can imagine we have a big impact with our bookings in the hotel and of course to the revenues. We are always in contact with a lot of different departments and translating the wishes of our clients/guests towards the operational departments.

This is what you're going to do

In this role you are going to use all your sales skills to organize the group, meetings and events for all our properties: Sir Hotels, Max Brown Hotels & Park Centraal Hotels in the Netherlands. Our Booking Office is part of our HQ in Amsterdam Centre. All your colleague's work side to side at the same floor. The Booking Office is a vibrant department of the Sircle Collection.

Together with:

  • Create tailor made offers and quote prices;
  • Negotiations contracts;
  • Cooperate with the other commercial departments;
  • Site inspections;
  • Taking care of a clear handover towards the onside operational teams;
  • Financial related tasks as preparing invoices, pro forma’s, commission handling etc.;
  • Taking care of reporting with regards to conversion and revenues;
  • After sales calls.

Group, Meeting & Events has everything to do with multitasking, setting priorities, meeting deadlines… in other words: keep your head cool! We are doing everything from A-Z in the process, from the new request coming in to sending the final invoice after the event, all tasks will be done by you. Never a dull moment in our department.

The best candidate is a passionate and enthusiastic sales person who loves to organize and to plan. You are a people’s person who can encourage guests for our hotels and want to make every event possible and unburden the guest. Besides that, it’s important that you have an eye for detail and think along and come with solutions. You’re not afraid to work under time pressure. People describe you as a detail oriented, organization pro and last but not least, you like to work hard, but also play hard.

In combination with:

  • Available from July 2023
  • Bachelor level and relevant experience in Front Office or Booking Office;
  • At least two years experience in this role;
  • High level of English is a must (speaking and writing);
  • Dutch is a big plus (or any additional languages);
  • You are super commercial and have a passion for hospitality;
  • Excellent social and communication skills;
  • Team player, but certainly also capable of working independently.
