As a Cost Controller you are working for our hotels and restaurants in the Netherlands to ensure that all food and beverage costs are ordered, analyzed and controlled as per best practice throughout the whole Dutch region. The F&B Cost Controller will create valuable insights that drive the effectiveness, quality and efficiency within the finance department.

This is what you're going to do

In this role you are responsible for the monitoring of all Food & Beverages purchases and requisitions. You know how to flag issues and follow up on them and if needed escalate them to the Finance department. You will also take the lead for the month end stock taking for all outlets in all entities and ensure the right and adequate stock levels throughout the whole month. This job requires traveling to the all the Hotels in the Netherlands to support storekeepers and all relevant stakeholders in the hotels.

Together with:

• Support in cost pricing analyses within the region for Food and Beverage also by doing competitor checks;
• Monitor if the pricing in the Food & Beverage POS System is conform the menus and adjust in liaison with the F&B Managers;
• Investigate the differences between the actual and theoretical results and report to management where the variances are;
• Assist in the implementation of the new purchasing system;
• Stay up to date regarding the latest trends within the Food & Beverage industry regarding technology, products and systems;
• Assist the Purchasing Manager.

Experienced in Cost Control is a big plus. Since we are a service-oriented department in a service-oriented industry we need you to have eye for detail and be aware of the need of your colleagues or stake holders. Last but not least you are discreet and diplomatic with sensitive information, situations and involved parties.

In combination with:

• Work and think at an HBO level, MBO-4 level is possible;
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience within finance or similar position or similar position;
• Experience with financial administrative systems and MS-office;
• Experience with Birchstreet or other purchasing system;
• Availability of 5 days a week;
• English writing/speaking (Dutch is a plus).
